  • Chef Felicia Grady

    Chef Felicia Grady is an accomplished Business Owner and Restaurant Consultant with a passion for culinary arts and community service. After graduating from The Chef Academy in 2012, she founded Plate it Up! Catering, turning her love for food into a thriving business.

    Her career journey includes four years as a Kitchen Manager for Indianapolis Public School #49, followed by her role as a Culinary Instructor at Second Helpings. This experience led her to become the Director of Food Service for Bridges of Hope Rehabilitation Facility in Anderson, Indiana. Chef Felicia also serves as Board Secretary for the American Culinary Federation and is a member of the Arsenal Technical High School Advisory Board.

    A dedicated community leader, Chef Felicia is involved in several organizations, including the National Organization of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Better Business Bureau of Indiana, Black Business Matters, Junior Achievement, Center for Leadership Development, and Girl Scouts Alumni. In 2021, she was honored with the prestigious title of “Chef of the Year” by the American Culinary Federation Association and has been a ServSafe Proctor since 2017.

    Competitive by nature, Chef Felicia has showcased her culinary talents in various events such as the City Market Gumbo Competition, Second Helpings Soup Competition, Girl Scout Cookie Cook-Off, and the annual S'Mores on the Circle hosted by the Girl Scouts, where she earned the distinction of being one of Indiana’s Top Chefs.

    Chef Felicia’s love for teaching shines through in her cooking classes for both adults and youth, empowering others to master the art of meal preparation, whether for date nights or family gatherings. She is the founder of the Plate it Up! Catering Foundation and hosts an annual Youth Culinary Camp, fostering the next generation of chefs.
