Meet The Chef


Hi, I am Felicia Grady! I am Executive Chef, Business Owner, and Restaurant Consultant. Upon graduating from The Chef Academy in 2012, I started my catering company, Plate it Up! Catering.

After four years of managing the kitchen for Indianapolis Public School #49, I was given an opportunity to teach as a culinary Instructor at Second Helpings. Afterwards, I was given the opportunity to become the Director of Food Service for Bridges of Hope Rehabilitation Facility, located in Anderson, Indiana.

I am a member of several organizations such as; The Indy Chambers, Better Business Bureau of Indiana, Black Business Matters, Junior Achievement, Center Leadership Development Alum, Girl Scouts Alum Committee ,and A proud member of

American Culinary Federation.

I have been a ServSafe Proctor since 2017 and Certified in Gluten-Free and Vegan Entrees.

I provide Personal Chef services for special occasions. My goal is to make fine dining affordable to everyday eating while specializing in gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan cuisine.

I have had the pleasure of being part of an even catered by Plate it up! And I'm telling you I wish they had a restaurant I could visit in the regular the food was so good! The shrimp Étouffée was amazing!!! The staff is super friendly & helpful! I was also impressed by the cleanliness and professional set up as well! The energy throughout this entire virtual event was fantastic! Felicia was great! She had me giggling here and there and smiling from ear to ear. She really loves what she does. I love the passion and drive that she has for her talent!

Felicia from Plate it Up Catering provides some recipes for salad and dressings. The salads we made were definitely tasty. We are big salad fans in our house including our kiddos. These were a bit in our house. Felicia had so many good tips that she shared, even tips on cutting.
